The Softball Fit

the who / the what

Product launch materials for Nike and The Packaged Deal.

the situation

Nike Softball was launching their new apparel offering which featured an all-new "Softball Fit," which was specifically designed for the female athletes. To generate excitement and emphasize the importance of this innovation, we wanted to create content that showcased the voices of elite softball athletes and leveraged the expertise  of a group of influencers. Our goal was to communicate the unique needs of female softball players and highlight the impact the new product would have on their lives and sport.

Our task was to develop a comprehensive campaign that captured the dedication of its players, and the significance of this innovation. We aimed to tell female-led stories about off-season training, showcasing the passion and commitment that make the sport and its athletes exceptional. Through interviews, demonstrations, and the launch of a specially designed softball cleat, we set out to honor the new heroes for the softball community.

To bring this to life, we conducted a one-day shoot in Los Angeles, where we captured all the looks and products for this innovation. The story unfolded through our featured athlete, Team USA Player Delaney Spaulding, as well as our influencer group The Packaged Deal. We put them in various lifestyle and training scenarios including a clinic for young softball players.

The campaign successfully showcased the stories of female softball athletes, their off-season training regimens, and the impact of the "Softball Fit" and its influence on young female athletes. By leveraging the voices of elite softball players and collaborating with influencers, we communicated the need for this innovation and its significance to the sport. The launch of the softball-specific cleat further solidified Nike Softball's commitment to supporting and empowering female athletes.
